The Celebration of Strings Festival is a full day of Yuma County string musicians coming together to work and play. All string orchestra classes are welcome.
The students will divide into three groups. The Level 1 orchestra is for the very beginning string students. Level 2 orchestra is for students who can read music and play a two-octave G Major Scale. The Level 3 orchestra will be for students who are proficient in a two-octave C, G, D, A and F Major Scale. Dinner will be provided for you.
Conductors registering an orchestra must:

Be responsible for their orchestra(s) transportation.

Be on the premises or have a designated substitute the entire time.

Be responsible for the conduct of the individuals involved with their orchestra(s).

Be certain that each student’s instrument is working properly and the music is well prepared.

Return the registration that accompanies this letter by April 14, 2020.

The cost again this year is $5.00 per student and $5 for chaperone/director dinners
Concert dress is either all black or white (or light) on the top and black (or dark) on the bottom.
The three orchestras will practice at the same time in different rooms from 1:00 PM until 4:30 PM, have a run through on stage from 4:30-5:30 PM, share a dinner together for a social time, and have our concert at 6:30 PM.
This festival should be a fun and inspiring day for your students, one that they will remember for their lifetime. We hope you will agree to participate and that the day will be filled with memory making moments which will last a lifetime for you and your students.
